Extended information note on the cookies usage

The following section provides some general indications about cookies, for the extended understanding of the information concerning the Holder. Cookies are small text strings that the sites visited by the user send to its terminal (usually the browser), where they are stored in order to be rebroadcasted to the same sites at the next visit of the same user.

During the web surfing, the user can receive on his terminal even cookies that are sent from different web sites or servers (the "Third Part"), on which may reside some elements (such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages of other domains) present on the site that the user is visiting. Cookies, usually present in browsers of users in very large numbers and sometimes even with large temporal persistence characteristics, are used for different purposes: running computer authentication, tracking sessions, storing information about specific configurations regarding the users who access the server, etc.

The Guarantor for the protection of personal data in its Ruling in the field of 8 May 2014 has identified two macro-categories: "technical" cookies and "profiling"cookies. Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of "carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or as strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the contractor or user to provide the service "(cfr. art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). They are not used for other purposes and are usually installed directly from the owner or operator of the website. Can be divided into navigation or session cookie, which guarantee the normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access restricted areas); analytics cookies, similar to the technical cookies when used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, the number of users and how they visit the site; functionality cookies, that allow the user browsing according to a set of selected criteria (for example, the language, the products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service rendered to the same.

For the installation of these cookies is duty to give the information pursuant to art. 13 of the Code, while it is not required the prior approval of the users. The profiling cookies are aimed to create profiles respective to the user and are used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the same during the web surfing. For the invasiveness that may have within the private sphere of the users, the European and Italian regulations require the user to be properly informed on the use of the same and express their valid consent (see Art. 122 , paragraph I, of the Code).

Wide information of the Holder for Cookie

Having said that in general, the Holder has set the information for the cookies on two following deepening levels.

A first level in which a ”short" statement is presented to the user who accesses the website. The statement is contained in a banner, in immediate appearance on the home page (or other page through which the user can access the site), combined with the “extended" statement, to which the user, who wants to get more and more detailed information and differentiate their own choices about the different cookies stored by the site, can access through a link included in the short statement, as well as through a reference on each page of the site, located at the bottom of it.

Specific and detailed description of the characteristics and purposes of cookies installed from the site

They allow, for example: to identify if the user has regularly had access to areas of the site that require prior user authentication or validation and session management for the various services and applications or storing data for access in safe mode.

For maximum transparency, we list below a series of technical cookies and cases of specific operations on the site:

These cookies are persistent and will be deleted when you close your browser;
  • cookies used to analyze statistically access / site visits (cookies called "analytics") which pursue purely statistical purposes (and not profiling or marketing) and collect information in aggregate form without the possibility to track the individual user identification. This site uses Google Analytics statistical analysis system. In these cases, since the current law prescribes that for analytics cookie subject have provided the clear and adequate indication of the simple ways to oppose (opt-out) at their facility (including any anonymization mechanisms of the same cookies) the holder affirms that you can disable Google analytics as follows: open the browser, select the settings menu, click on Internet options, open the tab for the privacy and select  the desired level of cookie blocking. If you want to delete the cookies already stored in memory, simply open the Security tab, and delete the history by checking the box "delete cookies" .

More specifically and currently relevant cookies are as follows:
